Department of Justice, FBI provide on violence at US Capitol


  • Steven D'Antuono, the assistant director in charge of the FBI's Washington DC office, said that they had received some 100,000 pieces of digital evidence from the public to work through.
  • He and the US Attorney for the District of Washington, Michael Sherwin said the US authority have opened more than 160 case files and have charged 70 people so far.
  • D'Antuono described this as the "tip of the iceberg" with the number of investigations and charges expected to go into the hundreds.
