Export of essential Agri commodities increases by 43.4% during 1st half of current fiscal

 

  • Union Ministry of Agriculture has said that the export of essential agri commodities for the cumulative period of April-Sep, 2020 has increased by 43.4% to over Rs 53,626 crore as compared to nearly Rs 37,397 crore in the same period last year. 
  • The Ministry said, major commodity groups which have recorded positive export growth during April to Sep, 2020 as compared to April to Sep, 2019 are Groundnut, Refined Sugar, wheat, Basmati Rice and Non-Basmati Rice.
