- An earthquake of magnitude 4.0 in Richter Scale hit the Jammu region on 30 June.
- The earthquake occurred at 8.56 am and its epicentre was in Bhalasa belt of Doda district, the tremors were also felt at Ramban, Kathua and Udhampur districts.
- No casualty or damage to property was reported.
- In the past two months, the frequency of mild earthquakes across the country have increased sharply.
