Maharashtra govt to pay monthly stipend to ST candidates preparing for UPSC exams

 

  • With an aim to increase scheduled tribe representation in the civil service sector, the Maharashtra govt has decided to pay a monthly stipend to scheduled tribe candidates preparing for the UPSC exams. 
  • State Tribal Development Minister K.C. Padvi said the state govt has decided to pay a monthly stipend of Rs 12,000 and a total of Rs 26,000 for the purchase of books for Scheduled Tribes candidates preparing for UPSC's Civil Service Main Examination and Interview.
