Odisha govt waives examination fees for matriculation students

 

  • Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik yesterday ordered the waiver in the larger interest of the students. 
  • More than six lakh students will stand to benefit from this decision.
  • The decision to exempt the students from paying their exam fees entails about  27 crore rupees as cost to the govt, no student of the schools under the Board of Secondary Education, Odisha will be deprived of sitting for the matriculation examination due to want of money.
