Delhi's air quality deteriorates to a very poor category
- Just ahead of Diwali, the air quality in Delhi deteriorated and reached a very poor category for the first time this season.
- According to the Central Pollution Control Board, the overall air quality index of the national capital was recorded as 302 at 12 noon today.
- The neighboring cities of Delhi also recorded very poor air quality.
- The decline in the air quality is attributed to stubble burning, winter inversion and a dip in mercury levels.
