Foreign investors pump in nearly Rs 2,000 cr into Indian capital markets

 

  • Foreign investors pumped in nearly 2,000 crore rupees into the Indian capital markets in the first week of January. 
  • According to the depositories data, Foreign Portfolio investors pumped in 3,202 crore rupees into the equities markets, but pulled out 1,221 crore rupees from the debt market in January. 
  • Prior to this, FPIs had pulled out nearly 30,000 crore rupees in December, 2,500 crore rupees in November and nearly 12,700 rupees rupees in October.
