J&K: Earthquake of 3.6 magnitude jolts Katra town

 

  • An earthquake of 3.6 magnitude on the Richter scale jolted the Katra town of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir early morning today. 
  • According to the National Centre for Seismology (NCS), the earthquake hit 54 kilometres southeast of Katra in Jammu and Kashmir with a depth of 5 kilometres.
  • The Earthquake of Magnitude 3.6, Occurred today at 05:08:34 IST, Latitude: 32.70 & Longitude: 75.40, Depth: 5 Km, Location: 54 km South East of Katra town of J&K, tweeted National Centre for Seismology today.
