More than 10 lakh registered electric vehicles in India as of March 13 this year
- Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari informed the Lok Sabha that there were more than 10 lakh registered electric vehicles in India as of March 13 this year.
- Mr Gadkari said, as of March 13 this year, 10,95,746 electric vehicles were registered in India with 1,742 charging stations operable quoting figures from the Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE).
- Mr Gadkari added that on a year-over-year basis, overall electric vehicle sales had risen by 162%.
